Nano – Finally entered Indian market

After a long wait, Tata Motors’s Tata Nano was launched in Mumbai yesterday. People had high expectations on Nano as it is available for a very comfortable price to the middle men. It is available in three models—standard model, CX model with heating, ventilation and air condition and LX model with central locking, front power windows in three premium shades.
Though Nano is best price-wise for many people, with its 623 cc rear engine, its maximum speed of 120km and its petrol capacity of 15 liters, I feel it will not run smooth on high ways and don’t know how will it increase the four wheelers count followed by increased traffic on the city roads.

It wont increase the four wheeler count.
Think of production capacity is only 300,000 nano/year. And with delivery starting from july 09, it will take this whole year just to deliver the first 100,000 cars.
You can be rest assured that by end of 2010, there will not be more than 300,000 nanos on the road.
Thats less than no. of indicas and swifts/altos in country. So well they are atleast double in size.

What ever the number is, it will go high because the middle man who can’t afford to buy swift or indica, he might show his interest in buying basic Nano which is a bit cheaper than any other car.
